Ms. Foley has more than 30 years of experience as a counselor, clinical supervisor, trainer, program developer, and program manager. She currently serves as the Senior Project Director for Danya’s contract with the U.S. Navy to support the Clinical Preceptorship Program. Ms. Foley manages the delivery of clinical supervision services to more than 250 Navy substance abuse counselors. She is responsible for recruitment and training, budget management, quality assurance, customer relations, and the delivery of an annual training symposium. Managing a global system of service delivery, Ms. Foley ensures that Danya’s consultant Clinical Preceptors provide the highest quality of mentoring and clinical supervision. She has worked with the Clinical Preceptorship Program since 1996, serving as a Clinical Preceptor in Okinawa, Japan, and Quantico, Virginia.

Prior to joining Danya in 2003, Ms. Foley provided assessment, treatment, and program development services in addiction, mental health, domestic violence, and sexual assault treatment programs. She has provided services to the military community since 1991. She has developed training modules for military commanders, childcare providers, and families to prevent and intervene in domestic violence and child abuse. She joined the Clinical Preceptorship Program in 1996 and developed intern and advanced counselor training modules that provided opportunities for military counselors to be certified as alcohol and drug counselors. Ms. Foley has provided training to behavioral health providers on the military culture at national conferences. As a military spouse and credentialed clinical supervisor, she uses her personal and professional experiences to build cultural bridges that enable non-military clinicians to better serve military families. In 2014, Ms. Foley earned a Serving Our Veterans Behavioral Health Certificate for completing more than 20 hours of training on meeting the behavioral health needs of veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Ms. Foley holds a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut. She is licensed as a professional counselor in North Carolina, and is a National Certified Counselor, Approved Clinical Supervisor, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
